Junior English Awards

Senior Final Makeups

The library will be closed for the year beginning on Wednesday, June 5. We will only be open for students to return books and/or pay fines.

Please remind seniors to return library books and pay outstanding library fines this week. May is Amnesty Month in the library so we are forgiving fines for late books if students visit the library and answer a quick research question on our website. The list of seniors who owe money and/or books to the library is posted in the library, the cafeteria and bus loading dock and is available here.

Please encourage students to check out the Louisville Free Public Library's Summer Reading and Cultural Pass Program.

--- JCPS Forward Updates ---

Hi, Valley Family!

Summer is near, but the fun doesn't have to stop! Consider signing up for one of theses professional developments.
  • Deeper Learning Symposium (June 11-13) - Over 2,000 JCPS educators have signed up for at least one day of the Symposium on pdCentral. Remember that this year, you can sign up on pdCentral for each day of the Symposium you want to attend.
  • #KYGoDigital Event (July 30) - This one-day event is for educators in the Louisville area and is full of digital learning sessions. You can register here. This event is for pd credit and attendees will be autoloaded onto pdCentral after the event.
  • Google Certification Camps (throughout the summer and school year) - These four-hour "camps" will be held at Camp Edwards. You will receive a voucher to take the Google certification test at the end of the training session with our Digital Innovation Leads. Click here to see a list of dates.
  • Technoversity - July 8-12 and 15-18. - Two weeks (Monday-Thursday) of technology-related sessions. These will be up on pdCentral soon!
  • CTEPS (Classroom Teachers Enacting Positive Solutions) is a JCPS-sponsored professional learning opportunity brought to you by a group of teachers who believe that PD should be job-embedded, compensated, and developed by those who know us best - ourselves.  CTEPS teachers work together during an academic year to support each other as we confront a challenge in our classroom or school and stretch ourselves to be the teacher leader that resides in all of us. For more information, click here
Thank you,

Patti Concepcion
