Did you see what's new?

There is a new feature on the Harbor.

On the left column is where you will find upcoming field trip information.

Please email the name of Field Trip, the date and the link to the google doc or sheet with the roster of students to Dawn Roy.   The most convenient feature of using google docs or sheets for the roster is live updating.  If at any point a change is made to a field trip roster, the live link will show the most up-to-date student list.

Ben RobertsDon SpanyerWhen Mr Roberts and a student demonstrated their robots' abilities between classes, they created instant interest by passersby! Great job!!
All teachers, admin, secretaries, security, cafeteria workers, and all staff,VermillionFor being the reason a child "will graduate high school" . This past week two of our former students lost their fifteen month old baby girl, these students were typical Valley students. One of them had multiple referrals, a few fights, and even cussing towards staff as a freshman. She graduated Valley as a 4.0 student after finding a mentor. On Monday evening at their baby's visitation, she told her family and myself, I was the reason she made it through high school. Long story short, after teaching at Valley for 12 years, I need all staff to remind themselves despite the test scores, despite the negative news stories, despite the long days, and that kid who called you every name in the book, WE MAKE A DIFFERENCE. Please, continue to remind yourselves, you MAKE A DIFFERENCE. Our students need us, and even if they don't tell you, some of you are the reason they come to school, and the reason they graduate. Thank you for being the hardest working and best staff in JCPS.
