Did you see what's new?
There is a new feature on the Harbor.
On the left column is where you will find upcoming field trip information.
Please email the name of Field Trip, the date and the link to the google doc or sheet with the roster of students to Dawn Roy. The most convenient feature of using google docs or sheets for the roster is live updating. If at any point a change is made to a field trip roster, the live link will show the most up-to-date student list.

Mo Man | Brennan | Thanks for helping me get room 102 setup and switching around some hand towel dispensers around the school. You are always willing to help when you have the time and it is much appreciative! |
Mr. Clemens | Annie Shearn | Thank you for taking me on as your shadow this semester! You are truly one of the best counselors in the world! |
Mr. Towns | Armstrong | Mr Towns took care of a difficult situation in my classroom. He provided immediately follow-up and feedback to me and facilitated a discussion with the student. I am so impressed by his leadership, support, and follow-through! Thank you! |
Mrs. Comstock | Armstrong | Way to go Mrs. Comstock! She was very selfless and showed some serious critical thinking when approaching me about moving to the lab. It was a tremendous relief for my students and certainly made our learning environment much better! Thank you! |
Stephenson, Gossett, Pascal | Armstrong | Thank you for the approval and assistance in allowing my students and I to relocate to the Lab! This is such a huge benefit for student learning and engagement in the content. Thank you! |
Brennan O'Connell, Plant Operator | Armstrong | Thank you for helping facilitate my move to the computer lab. You are a great leader and I appreciate you always following through and providing follow-up. Thank you! |
Jenny Cotton and Vike Squad | Armstrong | Thanks so much to Mrs. Cotton and her amazing Vike Squad for helping make the transition to the Lab very smooth. There were several computer issues upon first arrival, and Mrs. Cotton and the squad had them remedied the next morning within an hour!!! Thanks so much! |
Currin | Armstrong | Thank you Mrs. Currin for always keeping me on track with my professional growth and deadlines! You are a wonderful resource and mentor. Thank you! |
Ellison | Thank you for getting so many of the MAP tests made up!!! | |
Shearn | Lawler | Thank you for always keeping me sane! You are a spectacular PLC partner. |
Susan Krider | Jenny Hale | I've always made my own copies, but with this years set up, I find that I need help to get it done. Thanks Susan for always being so timely and efficient. We are helping cover and plan for a new teacher and missing one.. and you help me out greatly. Big big thanks. |
Ben Roberts | Don Spanyer | When Mr Roberts and a student demonstrated their robots' abilities between classes, they created instant interest by passersby! Great job!! |
All teachers, admin, secretaries, security, cafeteria workers, and all staff, | Vermillion | For being the reason a child "will graduate high school" . This past week two of our former students lost their fifteen month old baby girl, these students were typical Valley students. One of them had multiple referrals, a few fights, and even cussing towards staff as a freshman. She graduated Valley as a 4.0 student after finding a mentor. On Monday evening at their baby's visitation, she told her family and myself, I was the reason she made it through high school. Long story short, after teaching at Valley for 12 years, I need all staff to remind themselves despite the test scores, despite the negative news stories, despite the long days, and that kid who called you every name in the book, WE MAKE A DIFFERENCE. Please, continue to remind yourselves, you MAKE A DIFFERENCE. Our students need us, and even if they don't tell you, some of you are the reason they come to school, and the reason they graduate. Thank you for being the hardest working and best staff in JCPS. |
