Happy Halloween

Student ID Make-Up Day in Library

JCPS Forward - Building Ambassador, Ms. Concepcion

We have a very exciting opportunity for you to integrate the history of Rock & Roll into your instruction! Stevie Van Zandt, the guitarist from Bruce Springsteen's E Street Band, is now a passionate advocate for arts integration.  He helped to found TeachRock, a project that brings engaging and meaningful arts integration materials to students everywhere - and is 100% FREE!

The Little Steven and the Disciples of Soul Teacher Solidarity Tour will be making a stop in Louisville on  Monday, November 12. This is not just any rock concert! The concert begins at 8:00, but there will be a teachers' only event  for one hour of PD credit before the concert that  will include material suitable for K-12 teachers of all disciplines plus:
  • Arts integration techniques
  • Group activities
  • An introduction to the rich, free content at Teachrock.org
  • A visit from Little Steven Van Zandt
  • An hour of networking and food
  • A teacher-only edition Teacher Solidarity Tour T-Shirt
  • A certificate of attendance
  • Tickets for an educator and a guest to that evening’s Little Steven and the Disciples of Soul Concert
A video about the Teacher Solidarity Tour by Stevie can be found here. You can find event details and register here
